Received this unconfirmed information from Hon (one of our CGRC members).
There was another robbery on 28th Jan 2008 (Monday) around 8.00am on Jln Anggerik Liparis 31/148 (near the school and MCM area). 3 armed men with parang came out from a black BMW and robbed the man while was about to send his son to school. He was robbed off his car and also money. They broke the side window and forced him out of the car.
I believe the majority of us, the Canal Gardens community, truly appreciate the fact that we are staying in a "Gated-Area" which is much safer compared to "Open-Area". Please continue to give your upmost cooperation and attention to our security guards. Please help to ensure that these security guards do their jobs e.g. taking down the details of non-residents coming into Canal Gardens, checking vechicles leaving Canal Gardens, and making their timely patrol and rounds etc. You have the right to question or highlight any issues with regards to our security guard performance.
