Dear Canal Gardens Community
I just came back from our AGM, and I must say it a great effort from the committee in managing Canal's matters and tabling issues.
I wish to highlight the issue of the Canal T-shirt (the one that has "Canal Gardens is a longkang" printed). I understand that the t-shirt is a representation of the residents/purchasers' frustration towards the developer. We have heard alot of grievances about the canal. However, wearing and encouraging fellow residents to wear that t-shirt is not a constructive way to highlight our plight to the developer or the public. In fact, I think the words on the t-shirt are bad publicity for us as residents. Such action is detrimental towards the value of our Canal Gardens properties. How are we going to expect to fetch a good price when we sell our houses if we continue to splash bad publicity on our own properties? There are better ways to highlight our frustrations to the developer apart from wearing the shirts and parading at the developer's office or at their new launches. Writing an official complaint to MBSA or to HGD, or going through proper channels like REHDA or Kota Kemuning Resident Association are viable alternatives.
Let's pls reconsider the t-shirts. Pls don’t damage our secondary market of Canal Gardens.
