Recycling Day (November 2007)

Recycling is an excellent way of saving energy and conserving the environment. Our recycling project was initiated by the founding committees back in September 2006. Canal Gardens Recycling Day is usually scheduled on the first Sunday of each month (or the next Sunday if for some reasons it is postponed). One week before the Recycling Day, we will proudly hang our Recycling Banner at the main entrance roundabout for all residents to take note. Recycling Day last for 6 hours (10am - 4pm) where CGRC members will rotate to jaga and collect, organize, and even load the recycables onto the lorry. All the collections from Recycling Day are channeled back into our community fund.

So come and join the fun. Play your part to help our mother earth. This meaningful exercise will also help to build our community fund. So bring your "recyclables" like papers, magazines, cardboxes, aluminium, plastics, etc.
  • When: First Sunday of each month, 10am - 4pm
  • Where: Gazebo Near 2nd Exit
We will get our Recycling Head (Kapala), Encik Yaacob Salim to share more on the "How, What, When & Why of Recycling" in the coming Blogs. So, watch out for our Recycling Banner and stay tune! See you there on our December Recycling Day next month!
